I love Worf's return - akaWorf is really killing it. I love the scripts have him calling ItsMichelleHurd Raffaela instead of Raffi - it's such a Worf thing to do. polygon.com/23620555/worf-star-trek-picard-season-3-michael-dorn-interview

Hey TerryMatalas your planet is kinda a dump. You should be nicer to it.

I can’t imagine what happened to so many people between March 2020 and today. TRyanGregory/1629128794937098242

Nice to know from jonathansfrakes that even in the 25th century your Dad’s work friends can embrass you. Sorry Ensign LaForge.

So, everyone, we definitely want a new Star Trek with Captain Seven (JeriLRyan) of the Titan, right?
-
Oh this Captain Shaw dude gonna die. #Picard

Also jonathansfrakes “aren’t we overdue for a road trip?” Ok the 25th century is way cooler than this one.

As I settle in to early middle age I realize that people get mad because the things they’re nostalgic for can’t make them feel the same way they used to. But the real magic of nostalgia is making you feel something old in a new way. Embrace the new stuff.

The new #AntMan #Quantumania looks like a lot of fun, Paul Rudd and Kathryn Newton as father and daughter ant people.

This is really pathetic. ZoeSchiffer/1625665879643136000

500 people are dying from COVID every day. That’s a 9/11 a week. 182,500 a year. It’s still a leading cause of death. And that’s just the ones we undercount. So forgive me if I don’t use “pandemic” in the past tense.

Of course GailSimone starts following me right as Twitter is about to die. At least my account can die happy. Go get her Jessica Jones books. They’re so good.

The TLV for Vinyl Chloride is 1ppm over 8 hours. I’m feeling like Ohio is probably still not super safe.

Listen these balloons are not aliens because if they were I’d be half way to Rigel 7 by now. No way I’m sticking around here.

Just checking in, does TX have power back yet?

I use AWS for a lot of stuff - but maybe we should spread things out a bit? One vendor lock-in might not be the best. It's bad enough that we cluster data centers. Also, if you have a big service, use more than us-east-1 for gods sake.
-
So, looking at the MSDS (SDS now I think?) of Vinyl Chloride makes me think maybe this is a bad scene in Ohio. I knew that already, but the fact we're so cavalier with a needed but dangerous chemical is criminal. airgas.com/msds/001067.pdf

Woah, hurting a bunch of (poorer) FL students to spite the college board which will not be hurt, and made to look better for standing up for Academic Standards. If parents have the money, the tests will still be available of course. emigre80/1625246154635218944

We all get to live another day. I know we’re all biased toward the fact that everything is going to hell but sometimes radar just messes up. If you would like to panic, there is still a pretty serious toxic spill in Ohio, a global pandemic, and we’re cooking ourselves alive. noradcommand/1624596337890058240

Turns out it was even less than a balloon. natashabertrand/1624593417878528001

What I'm picturing at NORAD right now: youtube.com/watch?v=s93KC4AGKnY Mostly because it's one of the best Nuclear War movie endings ever.

Man POTUS Biden really loves to work the room. I hope to have half that energy at his age. It’s such a stark contrast from that last guy. I forget his name.

Wow: "They note, too, that he hasn’t been on speaking terms with his Rick and Morty co-creator, Dan Harmon, for multiple seasons, and a substantial number of staffers on that show as well as Solar Opposites and Koala Man have never actually met Roiland, even over Zoom." THR/1623071633593204736

One of my favorite dimension20show moments: Ally: “Can you turn me into the cops?” Lou: “What? No! What are you talking about?! We’re in a magic room right now!”

I love the new #NightCourt - it's just different enough to be interesting and just the same enough to be comfortable. Also John Larroquette is just always funny - he really should be in more stuff. I loved his show right after Night Court that has sadly been kinda forgotten.

Happy 86th Birthday Phillip Glass! I’ve always loved to poke fun at your minimalism but it comes from a place of love. youtu.be/6_mcXcISEBs

I love this guy so much. His books changed my life as a random white dude and I continue to wonder why I was not taught them in their brilliance. And then James Baldwins voice whispers to me from the beyond and says “come on, you know why!” zei_squirrel/1619218784035946496
